IN-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT

MUSIC

Our music program is on the schedule every Wednesday and a highlight to our students each week with all the
developmental benefits of learning music at an early age, that's a very good thing! Our weekly music classes are designed to enhance cognitive skills, foster language development, and promote both fine
and gross motor skills. Through engaging activities, children build social and emotional skills while exploring their creativity and self-expression, laying the foundation for a well-rounded early
education. All classes participate in a Christmas concert and other small performances throughout the year.

CHAPEL

Every Thursday morning, Ms. Cathy from Leesburg Community Church provides a meaningful message and worship time to our preschoolers during chapel. Through developmentally-appropriate literature, visuals and music students learn a foundation about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In addition, our students participate in the annual, nationwide gathering See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer which is held in September.

FIELD TRIPS

PLC heads out on a school-wide field trip 1-2 times a year for some hands-on learning with our families. These interactive experiences provide engaging and experiential learning for our students. A couple of field trip highlights include strawberry picking at Wegmeyer Farms and picking pumpkins off the vine at Temple Hall Farm!

ASSEMBLIES

Hands-on, meaningful experiences from the community are also brought into the walls of PLC for stimulating the little minds! We have several school-wide assemblies each year from the Leesburg Fire Department to the dentist and local authors.

SERVICE PROJECTS

This year, we have made a conscious effort to give back to our community where our students can directly see the impact. Each quarter, all students have a hand at the project that is collectively worked on. For example, PLC partnered with Meadow Glen Senior Center to make all of the residents wooden pumpkins this past fall with paint, ribbon, and sourced sticks.

*NEW FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

We are thankful that the Lord has guided us in the direction of new and exciting programming for the upcoming school year to include Spanish, Science/STEM, and library! These are a variety of exciting new opportunities for our students to get additional, hands-on learning through a the beginning milestones of a new language, more exposure to literacy, and exploratory science!
