Maple, School Mascot

Ms. Kimby is the heart of Preschool Learning Center with an invaluable guiding presence. A 2024 Best of Loudoun Best Boss Finalist, she has dedicated over twenty years to shaping PLC into the thriving, welcoming community it is today. Her vision is simple yet powerful: to create a preschool where children develop a lifelong love of learning and families feel a true sense of belonging.

One of Ms. Kimby’s most cherished traditions is our annual Family Thanksgiving Feast, where students and their families come together to share a meal and celebrate the joy of community.

By her side is Maple, Ms. Kimby’s English chocolate lab and our beloved school mascot. Maple greets children at the door each morning (often sporting a festive outfit), bringing instant smiles and comfort. She can often be found joining classrooms for story time, checking in on learning centers, or making special appearances at school events.

Together, Ms. Kimby and Maple help make PLC feel like a second home for students, families, and staff alike.
